Barry McClay

Barry established Imperium’s funds business in 2020 and is Head of Imperium Funds. Barry is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Director and holds an MBA. He has over 25 years of financial services experience.

Previously, Barry spent 15 years at Ipes – a leading provider of European private equity services – which included 12 years as shareholder and COO. He co-led Ipes through two private equity backed management buyouts and its trade sale to Apex in January 2019.

He is also an experienced director on private equity structures and has acted for many of the leading players in buyout, fund-of-funds and venture capital across Europe and Asia.

Barry is a member of the Executive Committee of the Guernsey Investment & Funds Association.
